So yeah,. as the title says... it's been a while.
Sorry for that.

I've still been on here, keeping up with the deviants I watch, but I just haven't had the urge to update anything.

I've had "new" pictures up on my website since they've been finished, but I just never posted here.
All the pictures from Japan are now scheduled, so from now until August they''ll come out one a day.

I'll schedule the "new" Mexico pictures afterwards, but again they're on my site already.

On a website note, I've changed my Creative Commons license to a "Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International" so it's a bit more open now.
Really just link back to my site and don't sell my stuff and I'm cool with it.
The new pictures will have it set already, and I'm going to be working on changing all the old ones over.

Life-wise, things have been amazing recently.
I'm working full-time as a tech at my local library, and it's really fun.
Lot's of other stuff going on, but nothing to post here.

Anime-wise, I haven't watched a single thing in months.
I'm actually going to be re-watching all of K-On in a few days, which I'm super stoked for.
For those that couldn't tell, K-On is my favourite show, and I'm going to be marathoning it with someone really close to me, so win-win.

So yeah, this year has been the best year of my life so far, and it doesn't look like it's stopping anytime soon.

I'm not sure if I'm going to be posting another journal in a while, it has been 5 months since the last one.

So I'm back from my trip.
I was home earlier today really but I'm only making this now.

It was a great trip.
Lots of fun,
Lots of picture taking.

I haven't actually gone through my pictures yet,
I just sorta rested today.

I'll go through them and maybe edit a few tomorrow night,
And get most of them done throughout the week.

I both started and finished "Welcome to the NHK" on my trip.
It was pretty good.
Not the best, but good.

And I finished 2 books,
Which was nice going back to paper books.
And not just webfiction.

Other than that, I'll probably make another post when I start uploading some newly edited pictures.

So I'm going on another trip to Mexico, but a different place than last year.
I'm leaving in a few hours from the time I post this actually.
Best part is that I'm not even done packing.

I'm going all out on bringing my camera stuff.
Both cameras, film and digital.
A bunch of filters, lenses, etc.
A box of film cartridges, so I should be good with that.
And my tripod even.

I'm planning on spending a day or two just walking around taking photos.
And then when I get back I'll get everything developed and edited.

It should hopefully be a fun trip,
And I'm even excited for the plane ride.

I like planes.

I'll probably get some anime watching done on the flight,
And maybe during nights or something.
I'm hoping to get a lot of reading done too.

So I'll probably update this and my website blog when I get back,
Which will be next Saturday.

So after a few days worth of work, I now have my own personal website.

It's made mostly to showcase my photography and editing more than I can here on dA.
dA is great, and I'll still use it, but it's not very professional or expandable.

I had learned of Squarespace and thought it would be worth checking out and so far it's pretty great.
I wish there was a bit more edit-ability but it does mostly what I need it to.

Now when it warms up / I move, I'll be able to go out and get more into photography.
This is something that really excites me.
My first real website, branding, and an actual direction.

Like last time, so far so good.

So just a couple things have changed since my last update.

I got the job I talked about before.
It's actually really fun working at a library.
Everyone there is pretty nice.
And I'm doing something I actually like.
Working with computers, etc.
I'm only a few days in,
But so far so good.

One other thing actually related to stuff here.
I just recently bought a new camera.
A film camera.
A Minolta X-700 to be exact.
I got it and a few lenses and a thyristor all for a really good deal.
The only thing is that I don't know how to use it yet.
I still have to learn all the buttons and settings and stuff.
Then I'll start scanning and posting new film photography.
It might take a bit to get all learned and set up.
But so far so good.

Nothing else really is new,
But what is new is exciting.
And on the same tangent as last update,
I haven't really been feeling depressed recently.
Things seem to be getting better.

But so far so good.
